The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Los Angeles Field Office and the California Highway Patrol are seeking information on the individuals responsible for civil disorder in Downtown Los Angeles, California. On June 8, 2025, as California Highway Patrol Officers remained on the freeway, a group of violent protestors threw rocks, pieces of concrete, electric scooters, and fireworks at officers and patrol cars from the overpass located near Los Angeles Street in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The FBI does not open investigations based on First Amendment protected activity. Assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal law enforcement officers performing their duties is a federal crime.
Reward
The FBI is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the unknown individuals.
