The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Richmond, Virginia, and the Lynchburg Police Department are seeking information regarding the death of 6-year-old Kingston Campbell. On May 2, 2023, Kingston was in his bedroom when multiple individuals likely involved in local gang violence fired shots towards the house in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was shot and killed. Investigators believe the family was likely not the intended target of the shooting. This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and information is being sought that would lead to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for Kingston's death.
