Details
On March 1, 1983, the body of Sally Tullos was found on the east bank of Barton Creek in Austin, Texas. The morning of her death, she had visited friends and family. It is believed that Tullos then decided to go sunbathing, and drove to Zilker Park, parked her car around 10 a.m., and walked to Barton Creek near Campbell’s Hole. Shortly after arriving, Tullos was attacked and stabbed. It appears that she walked from the stabbing location to where her body was later discovered. A woman found Tullos deceased a mile from Barton Springs Pool, sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Investigators are asking anyone who may have known Tullos, or have information on this homicide, to contact the Austin Police Department.
